"A New Beginning"

new story

In a small town nestled between rolling hills, lived a girl named Riya. She was close to her family, especially her Amma (mother) and Nanna (father). They were a tight-knit family, full of love and laughter. Riya, now in her early twenties, had recently started seeing someone special, her boyfriend, Arjun.

Riya was a bit nervous about introducing Arjun to her parents. She knew they were protective and had high expectations. One sunny afternoon, she finally mustered the courage to tell her parents about Arjun.

"Amma, Nanna, there's someone I want you to meet," she began, her voice trembling slightly.

Her Amma, always perceptive, gave her a knowing smile. "Is it that boy you've been spending so much time with lately?"

Riya nodded, her cheeks flushing with a mix of excitement and anxiety. "His name is Arjun. He's kind, smart, and he cares about me a lot."

Nanna, who had been reading the newspaper, put it down and looked at Riya. "Bring him over for dinner tomorrow," he said, his tone serious but not unkind.

The next evening, Riya and Arjun arrived at her parents' house. Arjun, with his charming smile and respectful demeanor, quickly won over Amma with his politeness and willingness to help in the kitchen. Nanna, though more reserved, watched Arjun closely, assessing his character.

Over dinner, they talked about various topics, from Arjun's job to his family and his aspirations. By the end of the meal, both Amma and Nanna were impressed by Arjun's sincerity and genuineness.

After Arjun left, Riya anxiously awaited her parents' verdict. Amma was the first to speak. "He's a good boy, Riya. I can see why you like him."

Nanna nodded in agreement. "As long as he makes you happy and respects you, he has my approval."

Riya's heart swelled with joy and relief. She hugged her parents tightly. "Thank you, Amma and Nanna. I knew you'd see what I see in him."

From that day forward, Arjun became a welcome addition to their family, sharing in their joys and supporting them in their struggles. Riya felt blessed to have the love and support of both her family and her boyfriend, knowing that together, they could face anything life threw their way.
